This is a quasi-roommate living situation. The tenant will be sharing the top two floors of a 3 story 3800 sq/ft executive style home in an exclusive, heavily wooded, quiet residential area, on the north side of Colorado Springs located approximately 20 mins. from UCCS. The landlord/roommate (me) is a semi-retired, medical professional UCCS alumni and 2 elderly Labrador Retrievers. The home is very quiet (and will continue to stay that way) and located in a ponderosa pine forest. The general vibe and feel of the home and location is mountain living and is at 7500 ' elevation. There are multiple opportunities for outdoor recreation located literally outside the front door of the home and include mountain biking, hiking and mountain climbing, long quiet walks in one of the safest neighborhoods in Colorado Springs. The tenant will have access to the entire two upper floors including: a full private bathroom, a 12' x 12' bedroom wired for direct TV ( cost to be shared with the landlord) and equipped with a mini-refrig and microwave, the main kitchen including refrigerator space, living room, dining area, wood burning fireplace, a 30' x 20' deck with a workout area containing a full set of dumbbells up to 65 lbs pairs., outdoor hot tub and unlimited parking. A garage space and extra storage needs are available for additional monthly charge. The landlord is very active physically and spends a fair amount of time outside the home. Do not view this as a typical college "party house" but rather an extremely comfortable and quiet living space for a student who is academically focused, mature and conscientious. Smoking of any substances or illicit chemical use strictly prohibited but reasonable and responsible alcohol consumption is absolutely acceptable. I would consider a student couple or a committed couple where one person was in school while the other worked full time.
