In 1964 Fred Gauger, a former Oklahoma State University engineering instructor designed the University Club Apartment building located at 1722 South Carson Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The University Club was the first major building designed by a computer in the United States. The computer solved 248 simultaneous equations in 27 minutes. Without the new computer technology, it could have taken two years to design the framework of the building. The 320 foot building cost around $7 million to build and was opened in 1968 for occupancy. When the University Club first opened, it was billed as "a city within a city". This futuristic idea was behind selling the circular high-rise plan and aligning itself with high-rises found in New York City.

In 2016, the owners of the University Club embarked on a multi-million dollar renovation to restore the building to its former glory. Today, the building consists of 32 floors with 8 levels of parking and offers a 6,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness facility with spin and yoga rooms, a resident lounge, library, catering kitchen, internet cafe, sundry shop, movie theatre and conference rooms for resident use. 2016 also brought a new, resort style swimming pool, landscaped courtyard and outdoor cabana equipped with gas grills, fireplace , lounge area and televisions for watching the big game. If the game isn't your thing, there is an outdoor movie screen to enjoy cool summer nights with friends out on the lawn under the stars.

The building offers newly renovated studio, one, two and three bedroom homes in the sky ranging from 700 to 1,900 square feet, each complete with balconies and awe-inspiring views of the Arkansas River and downtown skyline.

Come be a part of Tulsa's history. At University Club, the sky is the limit.
