Furnished master bedroom/bath

Furnished master bed/bath on ground floor.

I have a two-story duplex. My side of the duplex is two stories. The first floor has a master bedroom/bath and two smaller bedrooms sharing a bath. I sleep in the smaller of those and the other is my office.

Also on the first floor are the living room, formal dining room, and eat-in kitchen plus a washer/dryer.

Upstairs there are two more bedrooms with a shared bath. They are both currently occupied. One gentleman, Mehmet, has been here since the end of May 2023 and is originally from Turkey. He speaks very little English. In Turkey, he was a high school math teacher. The other guest upstairs has been here about a month and is extending. He is younger. He is from Pakistan originally. He has a masters degree and works remotely for a major bank creating mobile applications. He is very fluent in English and very nice and polite.

The master bedroom is available for $1,000/month. All bills are paid. The room has a king bed with adjustable base, two night stands with each having charging stations built-in, one wide dresser with mirror, and a huge office desk. The room has three (3) ! walk-in closets.

The kitchen is shared. There is a refrigerator/freezer for EACH bedroom -- that is, there are 4 refrigerator/freezers in the kitchen so everyone gets their own. There is plenty of room in the pantry and base cabinets. I have plenty of pots/pans/silverware etc. and you're welcome to use any of it. Electric oven/stove, air fryer, George Forman electric grill, Crock Pot etc.

Utilities are paid and include AT&T Fiber internet (2GB), DISH TV (feel free to bring your own streaming device for the 55" TV in the master bedroom), electric, and water.

I have a housekeeper who comes every other week. In addition to basic cleaning she will strip the linens off the bed, put clean sheets on, and wash/dry/fold the previous set of sheets.

There are two sinks and countertops in the master bath and the bath includes a large soaking tub. It is really a very nice room and bath.

Feel free to use all of the common areas. I promise, I don't bite.

Parking is off the street for one vehicle. There's a circular driveway in front of the duplex and that is where the person renting this room will park - or on the street. It is a quiet neighborhood and light traffic.

Located a block east of S. Hulen and a little over a mile south of I-20. To Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary you have a 4 or 5 mile drive, depending upon route. It is about the same distance to TCU.

Lots of retail, restaurants, and grocery stores are nearby.

A $250 security deposit is expected; however, you can also rent the room through AirBnb with a minimum stay of 40 days.

I live here too so the place is quiet. I am 61 but like having younger people around. It is a great place to study. Great for students or people in town on temporary job assignments. The last person in this room was here for nearly a year and a half while working on a project at the Joint Reserve Base.
